He thought the things were joking around. Then the twins went and got two other knifes and sharpened them. Thew twins stood by the milk shop waiting for Santiago to kill him. The twins stabbed nasar several times and he was taking to a public school where an autopsy was done on him by Father Carmen Amador because the doctor was absent. Pedro Vicario than goes to the army and know one ever heard of him anymore. When the narrator asks Angela if it was really Santiago Nasar who took her virginity she says it was him even though the narrator says Angela and Santiago were never seen together.

Quote
"The Damage form the knives was only a beginning for the unforgiving autopsy that Father Carmen Amador found himself obliged to perorm in Dr. Dionisio Iguarian's absence" (Marquez 72).

Reaction
This is the first sentence of Chapter 4 and it shows that there is no hope for Santiago. From the start it shows that this is the end of him and know his murder is known. The way it is said and where it was put in the chapter gave it a big importance and that it shows that it is the climax of the story. I seen it coming but I never knew he was going to be killed like that.
